Iota Tau Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®.

Welcome and thank you for visiting the website of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Iota Tau Omega Chapter. Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® is an international service organization founded on the campus of Howard University by nine African American Women in 1908. Since then, the sorority has flourished into a global organization with over 325,000 members and more than 1,061 chapters throughout the world.

Our chapter was chartered on November 3, 1973 in West Chester County, Pennsylvania. We were created with the purpose of promoting the programs and ideals of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®. We cultivate and encourage high scholastic and ethical standards among college women, while promoting unity and friendship in order to contribute to the advancement of the family. We help to uplift the communities in which we live, the West Chester area in particular. We strive to be of service to all mankind.

Danette Anthony Reed, International President & CEO of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, proudly introduces her 2022-2026 theme Soaring to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood.
